“Grapes are like diamonds in the rough; they must be shaped and polished, but never modified”
The 2015 vintage saw a spring with abundant rainfalls. The beginning of summer was very hot (7-8 days earlier than the previous vintage). As of mid August, temperatures dropped significantly, which made grape ripened more slowly. Early September recorded 20 mm of rain, which made it difficult to start the harvest. However, it was crucial for the late varieties, which still had a month to go. The Monastrell variety grows in a young, 6-year old 5-ha vineyard with sandy-loam and calcareous soil. The Cabernet varieties grow in a 5-ha vineyard with sandy-loam soil and small stones on the surface.
